The 'Heirloom' Portrait

Not so long ago getting a portrait done was a really big deal. Family portraits were handed down generation-to-generation so people could say: This was my father...This was my grandfather. Portraits were a connection and bond with the past.

Now everyone has a camera and we have snapshots of everything. But a true portrait is much, much more than a snapshot.

I offer what I call 'heirloom' portraits because I want to return to the tradition of family portraits on the wall, important keepsakes that are handed down to children and grandchildren. Creations that will last, made with the finest of archival materials, just as you'd find hanging in a museum. The sort of portraits that will be around in fifty years, still pristine.
